Bledsoe didn't re-sign with the Suns until September and he's injury prone. Isaiah Thomas was insurance in case things didn't work out with Bledsoe. Isaiah signed in July while Bledsoe was holding out during contract negotiations.
The Suns front office let Isaiah know they were still going after Bledsoe and assured him he would have a good role as the third guard. Isaiah was cool preseason but he always had these passive aggressive comments about wanting to start. Then he fired his agent... I'm not sure what Isaiah was expecting. I wish it worked out, he's a good 6th man.
