His stats didn't fall off a cliff. He just had a couple of bad games mixed in with a few 20-point games over a seven-game stretch. Rondo didn't have shyt to do with it, a lot of his highest scoring games/runs this season came when Rondo was on bench and he was paired with a combination of Turner/Thornton/ Smart. Rondo was actually limiting his opportunities to create for himself.

He just came from Cleveland. The same place where Kyrie was looking him off for years and getting preferential treatment from coaches and media. Then Lebron comes to town and Waiters is even scrutinized more and shut out by Lebron and Irving.

KD and Westbrook just want to make the guy feel at ease, so all he has to worry about is playing ball. It has shown in his play as well. It also helps that he is getting minutes and actually getting the ball from KD and Westbrook.
