Hes not asked to do anything.
:dahell:

He's asked to do far too much. Like I said -

"He's a role player basically been asked to play the role of a #2 option, lead the team in minutes and guard the best perimeter defender night-in and night-out."

Its a free flow offense. If there s a shot.he likes, he takes it. Now if you want to blame mchale for not being more role specific and restrictive on the offensive side then be my guess. But theres no responsibility or accountabilty in this system. You get more punished for the shot you dont take then the shot you do
That's exactly what I'm arguing, more or less. But I can't be too hard on McHale, because he's had to deal with his starting frontcourt being injured for most of the first half of the season and Beverley has been in and out too - which has meant Harden and Ariza had to pick up the slack left by those two/three. Harden can handle it because he has legitimate talent and has improved his game, you can't say the same thing for Ariza.

If the Rockets starters had been healthy up until this point, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

He was the most dominant player since he returned from injury and NOBODY thought he'd maintain those scoring numbers on the same efficiency for a season - no guard has been put up those type of numbers in NBA history.
:yeshrug:I'm just saying you can't crown someone who's only played a 5th of the season

You're failing to see the point in that Lakers comparison. If Dragic was stuck on a team you didn't like (sharing the ball wit Bledsoe and Thomas), you wouldn't be calling any remark 'dumb' for suggesting he'd be better off on another team.

It's not at all nonsense, I'm valid in thinking that he would be utilized better and a better fit on another team, like for instance Dallas.

You know very well that this three PG backcourt isn't built to last, and this stage Dragic looks to be the odd-man out, all things considered.
They've been insistent that the three pg backcourt is by design and they're definitely not looking to change it up now that its working pretty well. There's nothing suggesting Dragic is the odd man out other than wishful thinking from outsiders. I dont even know what you're thinking with the Dallas comment, that makes zero sense.

Give it up. He's signing with the Lakers in the offseason to do the job Nash never could. I hope. :mjcry:

I know this, I tried telling you that last summer when you were adamant that one of Bledose or Dragic were about to be traded -

:what: Suns management stays signing some of my least favorite players in the league. Its Shannon Brown all over again.

Lets see we got about 17 point guards. Lets go get another one thats 5'9" and cant guard a traffic cone. Lets give him 26 mil.

This means that either Bledsoe or Dragic are GONE

Nah it doesn't. I still see Phoenix keeping both of them. Isiah gonna be 6th man.

They cant afford to keep both of them. Dragic will be restricted next year and both will get max offers from someone. Plus the Suns have a logjam at point, even before they made this trade.

That's next summer tho - they're not at that bridge yet. McDonough always intended to keep Bledsoe on board, this IT signing will make no difference. Backcourt deep as fukk.

They're about to approach that bridge shortly. As you said Dragic will get a max offer from someone and Phoenix won't be be able to keep both of them.

How is he not the odd-man out? Bledsoe is on a 5-year/$70m contract and they have Thomas to fill that 6th man role, if McDonough isn't willing to match whatever offer Dragic is offered in the off-season, than he'll be gone (if he isn't already traded before the deadline). It's not wishful thinking, it's the reality of the situation.

Trade details aside, no team in the league would be able to compete with Dallas offensively if they had Dragic as their starting PG, he'd be a perfect fit - he wouldn't have a heavy offensive load, he'd be able to run the team without any PGs soaking up his touches and he'd be on a contender.
