3 steps. It looks like more but if you actually count it out, he only takes 3 steps after getting the ball. 1 dribble then gather off the left foot, one step with the right, take off with the left foot

Edit: I love watching this kid play. You can tell he wants to do more but he's still a little hesitant. He's gonna need to add a move when he takes bigs off the dribble. He usually only goes right but yesterday I saw him mix in a left handed dribble.
