LOL. Wes is cool, but he doesn't a lot of things as well as Batum. He's probably our best facilitator, defender, and can board very well. Do I wish he was more aggressive on the offensive end? Yes, but he also knows his limitations on that end too. It's never fun when players are trying to debut new shyt during a basketball game that they haven't worked on. Great utility guy that is well worth the money that they pay him. I've gotten over the upside argument. He'll never put eye-popping numbers.
Wes is great. I appreciate him. Consistent 16/4/3 a night. Gives great effort on the defensive end. Excellent catch and shoot guy. Not the ballhandler that Nic is. Not the type of a ballhandler that a top SG should be. I think he's at his ceiling. You make him do more and I think your team is in trouble. He's also played up to his deal. We'll see what happens after this season. Olshey is going to need to do some future cap projections because Wes, LA, and Lopez are up. LA is getting the max and I think we can keep Lopez and Matthews if they don't overestimate their value.
Exactly
In other words, I like Wes, but he's replaceable, or I can see him wanting to get paid more money which he should rightfully so. But with prospects like Allen Crabbe and CJ, I can seem them lowballing him and letting him walk.
Maybe Batum, is just one of a kind. Can't really say much more than then that.
But they'll definitely find a way to keep Lopez, you see how hard it is to find a decent center, not mention he's stays healthy on top of everything. But smh, at them still trying to develop Meyers
Blazers definitely got to shed some dead weight between: Meyers, Barton, Clever, Wright, and T-Rob. I actually like all these cats, but they can't play on this squad
