My Pops Forever RIP
The problem with Rubio is that he shrinks the court for the rest of the players on the court. For the short term, he may lead to some extra wins pounding the ball there's no doubting that. But for the long term development of the team their younger players will have a lot more room to operate and grow their games without Rubio on the court and the Twolves will always have a ceiling of their success level as long as Rubio is the starting point. I don't see him going anywhere though having that contract.
1. Flip already does this just by discouraging 3's.

2. There's a ceiling on how far that team will go whether he's there or not. The 2004 season will likely remain their best season ever.

Coach Bud should get it

What has he done that is more impressive than Kidd...

Kidd turned a bottom 5 team into a middle of the road team while losing 2 of it's most important players and the no 2 pick...

That's more impressive than building Spurs East...

Kidd should be coach of the year...

Traded his best player (knight)

Lost his no 2 overall pick rookie to a season ending injury (Parker)...

Had his defensive and rebounding specialist big man retire (Sanders)

Turned one of the worst teams in the league into a winning team while having LESS talent on the roster than the team did when they were a loosing team...

Slimeball move how he left but you got to respect his coaching...

how :mindblown:...they were locked in the playoffs before trading knight.

They have only won 10 games out of 27 since they traded knight. Went on a 3wins 16 loss stretch as well :wtf:

They have been terrible since losing knight.

Jason Kidd should not be coach of the year.

Kerr should be Coach of the year or give it to ATL

They were locked into the playoffs at the trading deadline?

The warriors have the best record in the league...and they didn't lock up a guaranteed playoff spot until after the trade deadline...

So how did a team that just officially locked up a playoff spot with their last win...lock up a playoff spot at the trading deadline?

This team won 15 games last year...they won 40 games this year...

Care to explain how they managed to do that without mentioning jason kids name?

This team doesn't have a top 25 player in basketball...do they have a top 30 player...a top 40 player...a top 50 player? I think giannis is there best all around guy...if they did a draft today...where do you think he would be ranked? Anything above 32 means a team is going to try to build around him, since he would be their 1st selection...

I think losing all those games have more to do with who they played after the trade deadline than losing brandon knight...

Since the deadline they have played the warriors twice...hawks twice...pelicans twice...San Antonio once...Memphis once. Cleveland twice...Chicago once...

So out of 17 losses since losing brandon knight...9 are against legit championship contenders...

Pretty :russ: when you think about it...they went through a month where every other game they played was a team that was a top 4 seed in the west or the east...which makes it even more amazing that have a .500 record...

Outside of Swag Antonio they played all these teams in late feb to mid march...where all of them were playing their best basketball:russ:

They didn't get to play Kyrie chucking and Waters chucking and no rim protection cleveland...they had to play j.r. smith making good decisions shumpert playing lock down d on the periemter kyrie dropping 50 on the spurs mozgov such a pick and roll nightmare you forget kevin love is on the team cleveland...:russ:

Coach Stevens should be coach of the year.

What he's doing with the Celtics speaks for itself.

At the beginning of the season, it was universally agreed that the Celtics would tank for the draft lottery. Now, we're sitting at the 7th seed. This is after trading away Rondo and Green and replacing them with Isaiah Thomas, Evan Turner, and Marcus Smart. And with Jared Sullinger missing a huge chunk of this season.

Stevens did nothing short of an incredible job with the Celtics this season. He took a team of young and inexperienced players and led them to the playoffs. And he's setting them up nicely for this offseason and for next year.

Imagine what he would've done with actual all-star players.
