Nah Shaq is one of the gawds of the game no doubt.. but anytime DJ has a good game he gets attacked. I'm just sayin let my nicca eat a little bit. He still gotta come through in the playoffs though

He only seems to have really good games when the other team is missing their center, and you saying let him eat, but when it comes time to talk contract he might get a max cause of performances like those

We really don't have a choice though. Not too many bigs around especially ones that play an entire 82 game schedule year in and year out. I wanna see what he does this post season in the playoffs first- granted we even make the playoffs. If he shows up then he deserves it if not then its whatever. I don't think he's worth the max, I'd trade him for the best group of assets and young center I can find. I'd be hitting up the Bucks seeing if they'd do Ersan, Henson and Middleton for him during the summer
I think we have a decent idea of what he'll do in the playoffs, rebound and be a complete non-factor on offense if they play any of the squads that have a 7 footer/ Doc is terrible, and giving DeAndre a max deal would be the capper to his awful moves.

i don't think the clippers would be under the cap even without his contract so they can't do sign and trades.
also dragic is apparently being shopped for a first round pick. not sure if it's been posted on here yet, but that could be a pretty big power shift for a playoff team.

That shyt is just upsetting. 
fukk these Buss children, in particular Jim, you got Laker GOATs all around you that want to help and you refuse them all. Kobe probably won't even get a spot with the Lakers after his retirement, these kids are committed to ruin their own damn business by trying to make it all about them when everyone has known since Jordan came into the league that's it is all about the stars.
I'm not saying put Magic in a position of power or let him pick the coach or something, but West is a top end talent evaluator, Magic would make for a hell of a recruiter and business partner, Kareem could at least put in some work with us(again, his last stint failed, but it was nice having him around). There are plenty of guys that could help turn this team around a lot quicker than what's projected and they just won't do it.
Free agents aren't going to come running to LA when we got nothing to show for a roster except two rookies(Randle is essentially a rookie and our next pick will be as well, if we even get the pick) and no other selling points except for a soon to be retired Kobe that's eating most of the cap in the upcoming year. The shyt with Phil set us back years, enough is enough and yet they refuse to learn.
