I think the Thunder are one more injury (to a starting player) away from missing the playoffs. Conversely, the team is one Reggie Jackson trade away from being a contender again.

No, I get that. I agree.

But I think to get over that hump and finally be an undoubted championship contender, they need to flip Reggie Jackson mainly for either a pass-first PG or defensive specialist. OKC Thunder will always be one of the best 4 teams in the West (as they are now) BUT to be the threat of the West, a change needs to come. And, keep in mind, the West is always getting stronger. Golden State, Memphis, LAC, and even the Spurs will all look to step up in the playoffs so OKC needs to do something soon.

If the OKC Thunder suffer another injury to either KD or Westbrook or lose Serge Ibaka for some time, I think they miss the playoffs.
