That was by far the best defensive effort I've seen from the Clippers this season.
He's 7'0 250 24 years old (i think)..is mobile, has good hands, is fairly tough (not afraid to foul hard and challenge shots), is smart, efficient, productive and durable. Locked up at under 4 mil until after 2016 season. He's worth a whole lot more than just salary filler. I think he has the potential to be the first big off the bench on a very good team if he continues to progress as he has been. Perk wouldve made Rondo happy, perhaps, but they'd both be expiring anyway and Im assuming Rondo would want a winning situation so if they just lost more after the trade it woulda been moot.
- False..especially if you mean 3rd string center
- Probably True.
Zeller is not a long term starter on a winning team. He's too light. He's too inconsistent.
He doesn't excel at anything in particular.
When I say 3rd big I mean the first big off the bench.
His value is actually pretty low. I've seen the offers the Cavs got for him. They were floating him around for a year and half.
Outdated. He'd fetch far more now.
He is actually pretty consistent IMO. His playing time and role has been more inconsistent than his actual play..of course he has had a couple duds but by in large he's been very good this year. Stevens keeps messing around and tinkering with lineups..he probably has had the most different combinations of lineups played than any other coach..only one close is Jason Kidd.
He may not excel at anything specifically, but hes also not poor at anything really. His jumper needs work but hes not shooting them..he takes smart shots. He is a very good finisher and is clever around the hoop in terms of using a quick release or not. He's also pretty damn good rolling to the hoop.

I'll re-visit this with you if he is traded again.
But I'm telling you.
The best offer they got for Zeller was Reggie Bullock and a protected first.
The Cavs gave him to Boston without a fight. He is at his ceiling. He won't change the trajectory for a winning team.
Thats fine.
In terms of the initial subject, which was the trade idea, we have to also evaluate Perry Jones then. Whats his trade value right now? Thunder wouldnt get a first for him, at all...unless its so protected that its essentially a 2nd..and if that said team was hit hard at the 3 and wanted to roll the dice on him. Green and Zeller for Perk and Jones would have been rape.
I felt like at the time Jones value was at an all time NBA high. Then he got hurt again and buried behind Durant in chase of the playoffs.
Jones is still a mystery to be honest.
I wouldn't consider it rape. Especially if the Celtics lost more games and ended up in the top 3 in the lottery this summer.
They are playing hard as hell right now but what exactly for? To get Kelly Oubre?
Hawks make history tonight, glad I was there.
I'm in the background on the game highlights about ten times, lol.
I swear to god DJ is the Suge Knight of NBA PGs. Shows up to offer some support to the team then the next thing you know your point guard of the future is waking up in the hospital contemplating life decisions. I used to Stan hard as fukk for the dude but he is the smiley face of cancer.DJ Augustin putting up those inflated numbers like Jennings was
