Marc wasn't sh*t and Zbo wasn't sh*t at that present time. They gradually became something in Memphis over the course of time. It was more luck than actual great scouting and GM moves. There was no, "oh we're losing a young all star in Pau but Marc is coming and we'll be acquiring Zbo so we'll be straight for years to come". If we didn't draft Blake we would've more than likely kept Zbo.

so now every player acquired in a trade, that's better than he what he was projected(even though the GM said he was high 1st rounder when the trade was made), is pure luck now?

that's dumb logic and it comes off as whining because you can use the "memphis got robbed" narrative anymore.

Nobody said that was a fair trade when it went down. When it went down it was strictly "Memphis Got Robbed. Jerry West blessed us-he's a Laker for life, Lakeshow does it again, Lakers b*tch, they gave us Pau for nothing, bow down to the great franchise, Pau for Kwame Brown, etc etc etc," BUT NOW its Memphis won too. Which I do get but when the sh*t went down and for a couple of years after this there was no "Memphis Won" talk. So stop it please
