Holiday would not have been an all star last yr under normal circumstances, you have to remember Derek Rose was hurt all yr, John Wall was also , Deron Williams was terrible until the all star break, and Rondo was also injured. Holiday would have not been an all star that yr if those 4 were there.
And Noel doesn't have degenrative knees like Bynum/Brandon Roy, he had a acl tear which is not degenerative and you ca definately come back from it. People tear their ACL's all the time. He's only 19 years old and is projected to recover fully.
He's being held out this yr smilar to how D-Rose was last yr just as a precaution so he doesn't reaggravate his injury by coming back too soon.
