I know how the picks work. At worst they got a couple 2nd rounders & if some crazy stuff happens they might luck into a 1st rounder & get the option to swap picks next year.

I just find it funny that the Lakers probably could have got that deal done & saved a shyt ton of money on a team that is going nowhere. But being the Lakers they felt like they had to get as much as possible (they wanted a 1st rounder, PG, or young player on top of all the savings according to reports) for a guy they have been trying to move for years now & couldn't just be happy with a team saving them like 20 million.
