majority of the beats we hear are not actually hip-hop beats

that being said me listening to trance techno DNB and other shyt I'm able to see it for what it is

there is a under science to the instruments and sounds they are using

i put trance in red for a reason

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
Listening to Waah last week on @CombatJack 's show had me thinking that Diddy wanted to make G-Dep into his version of DMX.

Diddy passed on signing DMX because he felt his vocals were too rough.

Dep's voice was more polished but he was very open and honest about his everyday man struggles.

"Everyday" sounds like the Bad Boy version of "Slippin"

When Kendrick stops being "the new hip hop savior to dikkride", who will be the next to be nuthugged? Logic? Or some White dude we're not paying attention to but is quietly building a massive fanbase?

Ab-Soul These Days is not a bad album. Listening to it the other day made think it inspired some of Lupe Fiascos Tetsuo & Youth

In My Lifetime, Vol. 1 was Jay-Z's best album.
Mainstream hip-hop hasn't been listenable in years.
