also, aint been no album threads posted recently, like some small projects or projects by old heads, but "current and at least moderately known" hip hop been quiet to start the year

I think that's more to do with the big current rappers dropped their projects late last year and other current rappers who have a big following like Youngboy drop projects so often and I don't think many people here likes Youngboy, so they don't make an album thread. Trippie for example drop Mansion Musik last month and got a thread and so did Lil Yachty, but his wasn't hip hop and it still got a thread.

Wouldn't be surprise they're waiting till spring to start dropping projects, since festival season is approaching.
