That was a well needed holiday...in hindsight probably could have done something closer (less than 10hrs travel time) since this was just about a week.

Once I touched down on ground I realized I lowkey wanted to go for another focused quarter, I could have held off on the holiday.

E never hot reach...not quite there yet but the progress is clear.

Resting up this weekend after all my eating and drinking but will try for a soccer game on Saturday.

Once Monday comes around I'm locked in for the next 8 week phase until the start of summer.

Pulled up to my gym yesterday. Real hyper Indian dude was being led into a police car in handcuffs. He’s one of those Indian dudes that thinks he’s the shyt bc he wears deodorant, is in decent shape and has a fade. I previously broke up a potential fight between him and another chill dude when he got hyper over the chill dude having the audacity to use one of the three cable machines he was had tied up for his superset. I asked the chick at the front desk what happened, apparently he got into with someone over a similar issue instead this time he had multiple machines tied up (granted this is at 6pm when the gym is packed like sardines) and it got physical. Inshallah he is banned from the gym for good along with his crew of dorky Indian try-hards.

I’d say at least 50% of the gym regulars tend to be mentally off in some way. I’ve met some chill people at the gym but a lot of weirdos too. Bodybuilding attracts mentally ill and insecure people in my opinion.

International Chest Day yesterday w/ a touch of legs

1. Warm up - Weighted walking lunges/single-arm pullover - 3 sets *pullovers help me engage the lats which in turn help w/ my pressing movements.

2. Unilateral Presses (lifetime machine) - 4 sets. *Not a fan of this machine, hits the shoulders too much hence why I do it unilateral. Get a much better contraction.

3. Seated cable flys - 4 sets

4. Incline Smith Machine Chest Press - (30 deg angle) - 2 top sets/1 back off set

5. 15 degree db flys supersetted w/ squeeze presses - 4 sets *for squeeze press, I use Andrew Jack's technique in the video (hits that upper shelf nicely)

6. Deficit Push Ups supersetted w/ donkey calf raises - 3 sets to failure

PA Nationals happening this weekend for anyone interested:

I was in the building for this (and coached in one of the Primetime sessions:sas1:)

shyt was dope for the Georgia powerlifting community to have an event of this caliber here. Met pretty much everybody that's anybody on the tested side of US powerlifting.

The shyt Joe Borenstein is doing is even more incredible when you actually see him in person. Some of these guys you can tell are strong as hell in street clothes, but if you didn't know who Joe was, you'd think he was just some goof ass zoomer kid that snuck in the back until you saw him get to work.

Also really cool to see Cayco come back after a year off and show he is still the top dog of the 93kg class. That's a class stacked w/ talent but nobody got the clutch gene like he does. He does not miss.

McNaughton in the 105s is another dog. He had so much gas left in the tank he should be cracking 1000kg soon.

Nice I can only imagine what it was like in person. How did your lifter do? I've been thinking about competing myself. Depending on how the rest of the year shapes up, I might be hitting you up for some tips.

It was sick man the 83kg Mens class it was so intense back there I just went and sat in the crowd instead of hanging out in the warmup room. It's a lot of beef in that weight class since it's the most competitive on the mens side.

My lifter got 7th in her class out of about 20 some odd people? But it was her first nats and the class was pretty stacked anyway. I think she can get up to be one of the top people in it w/ another year or two though.

But yeah any questions just shoot me a DM I'll answer as best as I can.

Grats. 7th is great for her first time. Was she happy with her performance?

Back in the gym today but new routine won’t be until next week.

Need to ease into things. Ate and drank too well on holiday

My weight is showing a 15lbs increase over the 10days I was out.

I know it’s mainly just salt and water retention, also bloating from the plane ride. I was feasting no cap. At worst maybe 1lbs of an actual gain. I do feel heavier on my feet and a bit softer in some areas :beli:

By end of next weekend it should be all off and then give myself another 6 weeks on proof of concept. Won’t really “pop out” until Juneteenth weekend.

I could have and should have actually shelved that holiday until later in the year. Jul/Aug would have been a better time frame.

Anyway, back to good this week then 100% back to excellent next week.

Peace brehs. What kind of headphones/ear buds do yall wear? Im looking for something that won't be a hassle in terms of falling out while moving or running or being clunky. I'd prefer something that is pretty good at blocking noise too. Any recommendations?
