I’m not feeling 100 and was gonna scrap all exercise today, but reading that thread just motivated me to get a quick ride and abs in
TLR is the worst place to go for anything fitness related. Lots of experts who could barely pick up 100 lbs giving advice:hhh:
its the WOAT place for anything outside of animal jokes

I take muay thai which is similar...

shyt is changing my life and made me go even harder with the cardio...

Cardio and conditioning is a must...

You will love it if you stick with it and get used to getting hit..

Nah there is some decent discussions that happen from time to time but anything that would require an expert's opinion/advice just results in fukkery there. Lots of people giving advice that they themselves didn't even follow/use:francis:

Saw this obese black boy at the gym yesterday; must’ve been at least 16/17 and I’m guessing it was his first day since he was being shown how the equipments work. On my way out I saw him on the stairmaster doing his thing and I gave a fist bump and said good luck. I remember that being me at the same age when I joined a gym for the first time :mjcry:

I am learning boxing without a gym, purchased a few good courses and have just been focusing on perfecting footwork, angles, and punching drills. From what I’ve heard the more quality purposeful reps you put in the better boxer you become, it’s all about skill.

Haven’t gone full swing into my roadwork yet I’ll prolly do that once I feel I have a solid base

Spoke to a coach as well and they told me I’ll get even more benefit from focusing on the drills since that’s what I’ll be doing at a gym anyways for the first few months. The closet gym to my house is like 30-45 mins away but that’s too far and too much mileage for me to put in daily.

But if you’re near a gym - just go.
