Let’s say for example your number is 1000 and you aim for 1400. You’re 400 over. Throw in some proton supplements in there, which range from like 110 to 1200 caltoies a serving, depending on the specific brand and type. Now you’re actually in a big caloric surplus instead if the deficit you beed to be in for cutting.
Furthermore, the need to increase protein intake to slake muscle wasting during cutting is usually more pronounced in leaner individuals with less body fat from what I know; they don’t really have any significance source of fuel but to break down existing muscle tissue.
I would worry about getting rid of as much body fat as you want then reassessing what your next goal/plan is. It you’ve only lifted for 6 months (ever) there will be plenty of noob gains to go.
Cutting fat and building muscle simultaneously is possible but can be extremely difficult, especially if you don’t know how to manipulate your macros and training accordingly.
Lose the weight first then focus on brolic-ing out.
