Great chest day yesterday but my left side needs more work. I still feel my right sight (dominant side) doing more of the heavy lifting on bench presses. I'll need to do more DB and ISO presses to bring the left up to speed. Also need to incorporate more flyes and chest presses to isolate the chest. My triceps tire before my chest so I'm not getting as much chest stimulation as I'd like.

All in all, good progress.

:ohhh: I say this all the time but you really learn something new every day. Dap + Rep

I actually saw brehs yesterday doing the DB press with the form on the left (right form pic). I'd been doing my DB press (incline, decline and flat) with the form on the right pic (wrong form pic).

Question: does this advice only apply to incline DB press or should I modify all my DB presses' grip?

Yeah I've been digging into a lot of his thoughts and methods and tinkering with my programing. It's been a good change of pace and has me excited to train again.

I'm not totally sure on changing grip across the board. He basically espouses that barbell bench doesn't do much from a hypertrophy perspective (or at all really) in building the pecs because the movement doesn't match the anatomy. Before anyone loses their shyt (not you but just saying) I'm just sharing. That said he focuses more on cable work for those areas so I haven't really seen him mention other DB chest pressing movements.

Breakfast! Oats with chicken broth, sautéed mushrooms and onion, thin slice of Swiss, turkey bacon and eggs :noah:

No troll, but do the oats essentially just absorb the rest of the ingredients taste wise and provide texture?
pretty much, it's like when rice is your base for mongolian beef, or curry chicken...it's just there to support the toppings, but with the whole grain, high fiber goodness of oatmeal!

I’ve done savory grits but not oats....does it hit like that though :jbhmm:

I keep my oats on the sweet sides with fruits and the like.
i love it. i don't like sweet stuff for breakfast while also thinking oatmeal is one of the best breakfast foods. so outside of oats greek yogurt and berries, i always make them savory

Why did I decide to take one of these long ass army runs yesterday. That’s my last one. I’m still dehydrated.

shyt ass squat day. I been so lethargic after adding high carbs(probably because they “junk” carbs) back into the diet :francis:

95% of my training max week took a brehs soul.

We make adjustments and keep striving though :blessed:

me I’ll take a 2/3 day breather , hone in my diet and up the TM’s but recommended amounts.

Yeah, your shyt might be too high or your cals (especially carbs) are too low.

On any given week you should prolly be able to hit your 1+ set (95% TM) for 3-5 clean reps, no grinders. On nSuns, a b*stardized version of Wendler's Spinal Tap variations - where you do the 5's, 3's, and 5/3/1 week all in the same workout - most folks don't even up the TM for the next week unless they hit the 1+ for at least 3 clean ones.

I'm on 5's week Monday-Wednesday and did 8 on my 5+ set for OHP and hit 3 singles ranging from 95%-115% on both bench and overhead. :yeshrug:
