Nice Friday morning sesh:

5x5 @ 80% of 5RM close grip bench (hands inside knurling) @ 205#

Followed by:

20 min EMOM
Even: 10 TTB
Odd: 3 squat cleans @ 205#

Getting better at TTB but still terrible if that makes any sense at all.

yea, i tried various yoga studios and overall it's not my thing, between the price, the vibe/type of people who go there, and the fact I was paying $20-30 a class and hardly ever got form corrections/attention from the instructor, i stopped. i would have been just as well off taking classes at the gym.

i've been happy doing free yoga on youtube :heh:. i guess it depends on the type of yoga you're trying to do and what you want to get from it (stretching/flexibility, meditation, become a student of the practice, etc). i really just needed deep stretching, and the form i was steered toward, yin, is long simple poses, you don't need in-person instruction. i have the music i want, candles or incense i want, and i can do it before going to bed. IMO, the average person who just wants to stretch/gain flexibility, and maybe relax, can find plenty of good, free videos online.

Snatch complexes were pretty pretty pretty good :ld: this morning.

10 rounds (90 sec rest)
High hang squat snatch
+
Hang squat snatch (3 second pause at knee)
+
Squat snatch from floor

I worked up to 175# for sets 8, 9 and 10. The movements felt great but my grip was shot on the resets between the movements (ie- catching in hang at knee after completing high hang). I really need to work on that aspect. But I did not miss any of the 10 from the floor which is great progress for me.

Finished off w snatch grip deads and nailed a few @ 375#. Was feeling good about myself til I remembered that some guys drop into a high hang squat snatch directly from the deadlift w weight like that :sadcam:

We might need an official stretching thread.

Your boy been feeling kinda tight lately. I need a good 10 min routine I can do daily to keep me loose during the day.

Got a new 3RM on bench....:blessed:

fukked around and got a new PR on DL...miscounted what I put on. Face-pulls have been helping me with the locking out process. That's usually where I have problems when I lock-out.:myman:
