Well, I got my knees checked. One is back to normal, but the other one is not. I got an injection of an anti-inflammatory in it. Hopefully, that will make it better.
No lower body stuff for a couple of days.
I did a shoulder and chest workout yesterday. I got up to 175 lbs for 5 reps on the barbell bench press. It's been awhile, as i've been slowly trying to get my bench press back to pre-surgery poundages. I've been cautious and have only gone up to 135 lbs. up to 10 reps in the past two months.

Shame the plates fell off. I was really looking forward to seeing those quarter squats. :francis:
Probably would have pulled of a 1/35 squat, i.e. dropped two inches vertically.
That dude was asking for it for not using barbell clamps. Even Ronnie Coleman uses clamps.

if you're hitting your knees on the way down on a deadlift is that a problem with your form or is it meant to happen?

I've been deadlifting for awhile now, started out with some shytty form so I had pretty much restart, but I can't figure out if this is a problem with my form or just how it goes. I've looked online and there's some conflicting stuff. One site said you should be bending with your hips first to avoid this, but the form they showed seemed like it'd have more strain on your lower back than normal. Other places said this is normal and just to wear pants to avoid the pain.
switch to Romanians. @semtex will show you the technique. This exercise is specifically endorsed by the best in the Gym forum

what are they tho? Why didn't you stop after the first surgery
ACL reconstruction.
Labral tear in the shoulder, twice for the same shoulder. Of course, I didn't purposely tear the labrum again. I got the surgery again because there is pain in the shoulder when the labrum is torn.

the surgeon didn't do a good job on the labrum. How did it tear again. How long after surgery did it tear?

What do y'all do for motivation to go to the gym before class/work?

The night before I amped to go to the gym but then when morning hits I'd rather use to sleep in :dead:

No, he fixed it right the first time around. I did physical therapy and the whole nine.
After it was a hundred percent, I got back to playing ice hockey. One pick-up game, I tore it again.

The doctor used to be the orthopedic surgeon for an NFL team. He's got pictures with signatures of players on a wall.

Just gotta be disciplined. I got away with it today since I had no work tonight. However I woke up sometime between 4-4:15 this morning and I prob should of started getting ready to lift but instead I slept in and didn't get to start lifting till 7:45. Just gotta get into a routine of it.
