There is clearly a crime issue and problem in a lot of American cities, i have always been on the side of strong prison time for violent crimes and less for non violent. People have a right to feel safe when walking down the street , lock up violent criminals and they should remain in prison and not out on bond, i dont care about the weed dealer selling in the neighbourhood but i care about putting away the car jackers and burglers away in prison for a very long time

I agree especially for violent offenders but to an extent. By the time these dudes get out they just become better criminals not better people. Considering we make up a large percentage of inmates there needs to be a pathway to redemption and it doesn’t involve the CCA.
