Good to see Georgia State get a huge win. I thought their program was left for dead after Ron Hunter left for Tulane. I still don’t know why he or anyone else would pick Tulane over GA State

all that money doesn’t mean shyt when your school is more focused on academics instead of athletics..same issue with Georgia Tech, but at least they have some history & are in the ACC.
Nobody in New Orleans gives a fukk about Tulane basketball. They finished last in their conference last year. And it’ll be much easier to recruit at Georgia State because Atlanta is bigger than New Orleans and they don’t have strict academic standards.
he could have stayed at GA State for a few more years then bounced to Georgia Tech, UGA or some other big time school.
Going from Georgia State to Tulane is a lateral move (athletics wise). Tulane University as a whole runs circles around GSU but he ain’t there to be a professor

...but depending on what he wants his professional trajectory to be , having a brand like Tulane (despite its deemphasis on athletics) on his resume COMBINED with winning there in the ever-growing-in-respect AAC will go further than a winning record at Georgia St.
