He didn't lose it for us, our defense lost it for us. We gave up too many second chance rebounds.

Fair enough. But you can't deny he shoulda passed the ball on BOTH of those last possessions instead of forcing it. And if he was tryna draw a foul on that final play, that's a bad move for 65% free throw shooter. Kid was wide open for an easy lay up if he woulda just dropped it off after drawing 2 on the drive

He has no idea how to beat the help defender once he gets past his man.

No floater, euro, spin move, high off glass finish, switch hand finish.

Him and Reddish keep the ball at their chest when going into contact and then they can’t do anything with it in the air.
In all fairness, help defense in prep is pretty bad. He simple just didn't have experience v. This type of defense and this level. Gonzaga was in sync with high BBIQ and they played fast in terms of half court offense. This is what experience looks like.

Exactly imagine these nikkas watching the Fab 5
The Fab 5 lost nine games as freshmen. Chris Webber is the Black Jon Konkak hot takes and shyt. The NCAA is a different beast. They can make you pay if you don't have a good jump shot with that zone defense.

Zion not being involved down the stretch is in K and the coaching staff. Zion can only do so much without forcing something.
You can only do so much with someone that refuses to shoot from outside the paint, and isn't a dominant enough post player in those situations.

Yea Gonzaga was running a pro style helping scheme until they went zone at the end.

A big part of this game was Zags overloading the left side of the floor and daring Zion and Barrett to go right as well

On that last play that’s exactly what happened and Barret finally went right and had no counter.

Of course he should have but like all of us Duke fans say, R.J. will be the best R.J. if he plays within himself. The NCAAs is not 2k. You gotta play within the team concept

are you stupid? He was wide open when RJ drove, they could have given it to Jones and ran a pick and roll. He drove to the basket with sucess several times and literally can out jump everyone on the court. You didnt' watch the game obviously.

You think he's afraid to shoot? I think he's being coached into a particular role, especially based on the play calling late in the game.
