yes it affects entertainment value, but you can't give them an extra foul just b/c the officiating might subjectively be worse than the nba. And again, the game is almost a full quarter shorter than the nba. 5 fouls is fair.

Yeah, I don't agree with giving them the foul because of bad officiating exclusively. It certainly doesn't help though. Unless coaches start keeping players on the court it's going to be a problem.

It doesn't help either that almost no teams have any depth either.

I'm sure there is some relation to the 30 second shot clock too, a lot of defenses break down late in the shot clock and end up fouling a dude who attacks the rim.

I hope he does, because right now when I see him play I can't help but think of Josh Smith

And Monk might be the best player on this Kentucky team, dudes going to see him hitting all these 3's and forget he's an even better athlete. Monk going to yam on a couple dudes this year at least

I've heard Lydon has gotten a lot better this offseason, he could end up being a top 15 player in the nation this season
