:wow:at having complete economic independence through owning retail establishments while the manufacturing and wholesale chains are completely 100% owned by whites.....

i love the narrow mindedness of humans.... humans can't chew bubblegum and walk at the same time... it's always a choice of "gee, should i walk right now or stop and chew bubblegum".... smh

John 14:6
:pachaha:

Some of ya'll are really delusional or have a shallow understanding of American History. For 150 years after reconstruction, blacks were relegated to the margins of American society. How much could they accomplish with the boot of their de jure and de facto segregation on their necks?

Most blacks were relegated to making a living as domestic workers, rural share croppers or low level factory workers for over a century and half without access to social mobility. We didn't even have the full fundamental right of freedom of movement; as blacks couldn't choose where to live.

Why do you think cacs fought so hard for 150 to maintain the status quo? Why do you think they reminisce about the good old days?

You can't be serious right now.

And most of that was by law :pachaha:

"We need to go back to Jim Crow." Aw, man :dead::russ:

Its short sighted and narrowminded to believe that people are saying jim crow was great and that we should go back to legislation of that era...:stopitslime:

But there were blacks during the civil rights era that knew that we needed human rights and separation before getting the passive bullshyt legislation that we should have already had..... the fact that we even had to fight for civil rights is telling.

They fact that you name retail establishments but do not name the manufacturing banks etc that we owned shows why people like you and robbie3000 aren't credible.

Its the same reason why we traded dependency social programs for dignity and self sufficiency.... why we followed preachers during the 60s ten times more than we would even hear anyone with Malcolm x type ideas...

Its sad really..

Ntm, southern states barely had any businesses in the F 500.. pre civil rights movement. They let us have this bulllshyt because it was good for businesses. Every economic study shows that segregation harmed cac businesses the most. In return we got bs legislation..... a worst jim crow in the form of private prisons and a society that pretends that it made prgress. Add dependence social programs and then you have the results of the civil rights movement...

No wonder the cac who killed and dumped emmit till ... afterwards had mostly black customers for his store.. we love this shyt

that's your answer? :what:
Im not telling you anything... I know madd shyt but clown on here because some posters are... well...

Clowns.

So why would I mention black owned auto part, truck body manufacturers in the 1800s. 1900s.. or black owned insurance companies, education powerhouses that set US standard, or hair products, clothing, shoe manufacturers etc.... what manufacturing industry didnt we have? Im sure there were a few..... but the point is those towns in Florida, north Carolina, etc .. that were black economic hubs independent of mainstream , were the right model.... we dont have to completely isolate to be independent. I lived in a jewish neighborhood for a while, I can see how it would work cuz I see how they run those businesses in that area. Its not rocket science....

okay, so now i'm a clown because i believe that blacks needed a certain degree of integration to advance? that's that walk or chew bubblegum mentality... either we are an island trying to be completely independent or we're all stuck on welfare...

we dont have to completely isolate to be independent.
now this part of your statement i agree with and it actually backs away from the rhetoric and comes across as thoughtful....

In a vacuum, removed from any other politics or the inevitable White supremacists who fill the world of Libertarianism, I'd vote for Paul. I like pretty much everything he has to say and even forgive him for his flip floppery in the face of a hostile media intent on maintaining the bi-partisan miasma that's killing this country.

However, there's no way I could vote for Paul w/ a Republican controlled House and soon to be Senate. He needs to distance himself from the Republican Party and become an Independent. Let's face it, in the unlikely event that he became President Republicans aren't going to allow him to do any of the things he really wants to do anyway. They're already wary of his isolationist foreign policy and there's no real momentum within Conservative circles for a reduction of the police state. When it comes down to his ability to execute, he's very Obama-like in his inability to deliver on the over promises he's making.

Life wasn't great... but we were building something... we gave it up for a false sense of accomplishment. Its sad really.

This is not an accurate description of what happened to the Black community post reconstruction. We didn't underachieve because of desegregation. Our growth and wealth was systematically stifled and extracted by collusion between government and predatory corporations.

You can't call someone a predator if you welcome a solution that you suggest..

Like a female getting raped and saying ... stop and use some lube... then complaining about the "shifting" when the rapist takes the lube and turns it into anal... just my opinion... but maybe she should have worked to push him off.

How did we encourage the pillaging of our community?
