Wish it was set in a HBCU would make it better
But shes staying in the black students building right?
Being at an HBCU wouldn't have worked for her character or the show since she's always had different aspirations as far as school goes and its a way to keep her parents and the rest of her fam on the show every now and then. Unlike Cliff with Denise, Dre didn't want his baby to go across the country. Wanted her right in his backyard. Cliff couldn't wait to get those damn kids out his house

Yeah let them do their thing. Even a different world wasn't what it became if you look at its first season. She's in the black dorm at a fancy school, very similar to dear white people, and she's got a funny ass cast around her
