Carr is way too emotional.
He gives a damn. Perhaps he gave too much of a damn for an organization that didn't share the sentiment.
Sure, you can say he was pretty good/really good but never elite (though he was a legitimate MVP candidate in 2016). You can say the Raiders didn't win enough with him as QB1. Fine. But think about it.
He's never had a good defense. They GAVE AWAY the best defensive player he's had in his nine years there, a sure-fire hall of famer, and the most notable return they got was a really good RB that doesn't seem as if he expects to be there next season. They GAVE AWAY the best wide receiver he's had outside of Davante Adams.
He's seen six head coaches in nine years, and they didn't bring back the coach that rallied the team last year to a point where the squad's captains came out and endorsed said coach. They've drafted like shyt more often than not.
Through all of this, he has been adamant that he wanted to be a Raider for life and has been a shining example of how to navigate as a franchise QB/model citizen amid all the organizational turmoil. And they benched him for... what, exactly?
He has every reason to be upset. It's not much different from someone wasting nine years of their prime in a marriage where the spouse refuses to get his/her/their shyt together and somehow holds YOU responsible for their inadequacy despite you being all in and doing your damnedest to make it work.
