There's really nothing to turn around, he is what he is. Last year on a team with a bunch of turmoil and adversity he was solid when they were left for dead, this year they had real expectations and he shrunk.
I don't doubt that if he was in Kirk's spot or Jimmy's spot that he would be solid and win, but you know what it is with that tier of player. It's not the end of the world if they're your QB and in a certain year if the stars align with health and good synergy on the coaching staff maybe you can go all the way - but the ceiling is obvious and they're never gonna impose their will on the game.
