I don’t think they could ever prove it. RZA prob has nodes what it actually wa we other these days. You could bring up a bunch of different sound that “could” be the sample so I’m not sure they could successfully sue.
Breh there's ai programs now that can dissect samples no matter how chopped, they can separate the sounds on a track.. they can def prove it.

Think of a more advance system that works on the same principle as Shazam and the programs that demonetize content that has copy right music in it.. the computers can do all the leg work as long as the sample source is in a musical database

Na i know, im just sayung youd most likely have to Recognize it first and then throw it in. Im not sure the asr automatically chops like say fl slicer but it may im not too technically up on asr. I know a lotnof those machines you have to cut ya samples first and then drag em in or inpit the time to cut by hand to get it to be a small cut of that nature.

Again i could be wrong on how an asr works
? It's just the same chop played at different speeds, and it's the most obvious part of the intro to chop.

I've never used an ASR either, but I get the gist of how it functions. First off, the ASR doesn't have pads like an MPC, it's got piano keys.

Similar to the 16 levels function on an MPC, you could put in a chop and play it out different pitches with the keys.

I'm assuming you're familiar with FL Studio if you're bringing up FL Slicer, so if you want to see how the technique works you can drag a chop to an instrument channel on the channel rack and open up the instrument setting.

You can click on the different piano keys on the bottom to play the chop in different pitches, and therefore different speeds. If you play around with that you can see how RZA and Havoc were able to create in the way that they did.

Again, I'm not trying to take anything away from RZA or Havoc, I'm just trying to help clear up what seems like a misunderstanding on your part.

Yes.
You're angry and confrontational for no reason
Show your receipts, because the only wutangcorp mention of finding this sample I see is in the Wu Sample Originals thread from the same day this thread was made

Not to take anything away from RZA, but I'm pretty sure he just used an ASR-10. You can play the chops at different pitches/speeds across the keys and put together something that way. It's the same way Havoc used it for Shook Ones or Hell On Earth.

I NEED THAT MACHINE. Whats the modern version of the asr-10?

Thanks. You used one before?
Other than messing with a friends MPC2000 one time back in the day I've never used any hardware before. Strictly FL Studio.

Nothing can really beat the sound of classic analog IMO, but the ASR is 30 years old at this point. Sampling has come a long way and it's never been easier to become a producer.

by me, who posted it after seeing this thread. It wasn't confirmed yet like it is now, so I just posted the link and said 'they think they've found the glaciers sample again' b/c, as mentioned in this thread, they've thought other tracks were the main sample before (specifically the Heartbreaker one).

They're still gonna find shyt from this album too. Rainy Dayz is one.

Wild to me that there's still RZA and Havoc and Preemo gold being found. In the internet age we've found Shook Ones part 2, Ice Cream, Hell on Earth, Survival of the Fittest, NY State of Mind Part 2, and now this.

We gotta find Bring it On for Jay-Z.

I didnt aee the chop was right at beginning saw how it was cut up i get ya.

My point is more the old samplers are a lot harder to get samples into and outta than today. Didnt realize it was the rxact beginning of sample. Today you fan choose where to listen, bqkd then they flipping thru vinyl starting from beginning needing to listen to whole song or slide the needle exactly where it need to go; while today guys look at wavs for low moments where music plays by itself and will listen to a 5 min track in 20 seconds. Back then you had to really make the most outta everything. Some of the most sinple beats prolly took hours to make. Versus today you can make a beat in less than 5 min.

Fact it still wasnt caught in 30 yrs with the sample being right at beginning is hilarious. If it was in the middle id understand. But yea beginning is where everyone goes.
