prosper any where on earth
rza is the goat creative in the ENTIRE genre its not even close

Mans got atleast 5 all timers to his name alone

And like 10 other gems. Only dre is on the level and yes its because of sound quality. Noone put their own family/friends like the rza and made them superstars and thus became one himself by way of doing so.
I don't disagree at all... Everyone loves Dre for that Mystic of being the head producer.
Dre did make G Funk major,

To be fair Dre worked with unknowns and made them famous.

Em was no one, Snoop was no one, DOC was no one, Anderson .Paak and kendrick.... yeaaah lol

But If i would want someone who is consistent, I would take Rza in is prime.

He changed his style so many times for his brothers in the group

plus, he's more flexible as a producer

Dre is very rudimentary and annoying in the studio and never release shyt lol

Rza would of been way more respected, if it wasn't for that fukking flood!

Same as Q-tip

2 hip hop tragedies of hard work, destroyed by events beyond control.

Na of course i give dre big props. And he made nobodies as well. As well as a few friends. All those artists are there cause if dre imo. 100%

But rza making his cousins and friends from day 1 is a special thing imo. Especially the favt he got on before all them and still put them before himself. Never mind the amount of great rappers he put on. Wu understand their power is together where most groups get ripped apart by internal beef. Wu would openly beef and still be fam.

Honestly this right here is the difference between the rza/dres and most everyone else. It was bigger than good beats and beatmaking in general.

Sample snitching or not, I don't even care. I been wondering about this joint for literal years :wow:

Very dope. It's an intricate, small piece sample well within the track.

RZA is incredible.

That record sounds dope too. It's some obscure record with some bugged out artwork from the late sixties.

This sample find to me, and the YouTuber who presented it is just as exciting as when the found the shook ones sample.

Y'all also know the history of this track?
Thats not the beat they recorded the raps to. RZA changed the beat after they recorded. This is actually the "remix"

Word. I never knew that.

Did the main version drop?

Also are there any great documentaries or articles on the making of Obfcl?

Eh....if we're talking about the same thing, not really.

In the XXL magazine article about the making of this album, Rae said he recorded his vocals over the drums. So it wasn't a finished version, RZA just hadn't added samples yet.

I got that issue in storage somewhere, I'll see if I can find it over the next few days.

I thought Rae said the drums werent the same either..
if im wrong .. im wrong.. but the concept of what i was trying to say was that it was recorded without that sample

Wow, Magic Hollow has a sound that can span time. It feels like how traversing the Multiverse would be.
