Raekwon's taste in music is :scusthov:

Too much rap music.

He got Keith Sweats album but not Anita Baker's Rapture? :dahell:

He grew up in the golden age of R&B but nothing from that era? And he doesn't list anything after 2000 :russ:

That's his list.

You could nitpick and critique everyone's lists. What's the point? It's music and all subjective.

The only albums on your list that compare are Illmatic, Ready to Die, and 36 chambers.

Man, woman, and child
Despite being a great album, My Life isn’t in the same universe as Thriller. I just think The Infamous is as iconic and seminal an album as any rap effort from the golden era. It birthed east coast street rap the same way Straight Outta Compton did west coast gangster rap.

:unimpressed:
But My Life was a better album than the Infamous. I think Ready To Die did more to birth East Coast gangsta rap than the Infamous did

Illmatic
Cuban Linx
The Infamous
Ironman
Low End Theory
Madvillainy
Midnight Marauders
MM...FOOD
36 Chambers
Liquid Swords

Honorable mentions:
De La Soul is Dead, Black Star, Black on Both Sides, 93 til Infinity, The Listening, College Dropout, every Outkast album, Care For Me

Random music in no order:
Baduizm
Brown Sugar
Malibu
Freudian
Samurai Champloo OST
Yes Lawd!

That's all I can think of now. A lot of the older music I listened to I realize now I didn't have the full albums. I usually had the best ofs for people like Roy Ayers, Stevie, Marvin, EW&F, MJ, Prince, New Edition, Rick James, etc.

How is My Life? Better album than The Infamous. I guarantee you it is featured on more top 10 lists than My Life.

The Infamous is a great rap album, but if we’re talking music of all genres, sonically, it's disrespectful to My Life to mention them together.

And the world is a lot bigger than internet message boards.

Most of the world has never heard or even heard of The Infamous.

The same could be said about My Life.
