This is a good discussion. My list is (no order):

Paid in Full - Eric B & Rakim
Illmatic - Nas
Ready to Die - Notorious BIG
Enter the Wu Tang (36 Chambers) - Wu Tang
Rip the Jacker - Canibus
Thriller - Michael Jackson
What’s the Story Morning Glory - Oasis
Dummy - Portishead
Paranoid - Black Sabbath
Reign in Blood - Slayer

The Canibus album on the list put me onto Portishead due to the samples.

Glad this thread was made, never heard some of those albums so I'll check them out when I get the chance..

My top 10:

1)Thriller
2)Usher - Confessions
3)50 - Massacre
4)50 - GRODT
5)Illmatic
6)LIG
7)Nas - Untitled
8)Stillmatic
9)Kanye - Graduation
10)BP3 - Jay Z

I'm a lazy listener so I only heard the singles/classics from most of the legends.

Tooo hard. I mean I didn’t even list and Mobb, Gangstarr, Dre, Jay, etc. But variety is the key of like: some rap, thrash metal, trip hop and would have added pop but prefer compilations.

Dummy is outright one of the best albums ever. Suggest everyone listens to it at least once.

I couldn’t decide between illmatic, stillmatic and LIG.

I think LIG resonates most with me in this moment in my life .. but I ain’t wanna overrate it for that reason.

I almost added Graduation but realized I only had one slot left

Bolded for emphasis!

And mane it’s crazy hard.. I think Grace, Whats going on, And Let’s Get Free are the only 3 that would probably make my list 100% of the time
