Wu first two albums is both classics. One has nothing but unskippable tracks and a rougher sound but is still amazingly produced, the other has a very large number of unskippable track's and a more polished sound that is different but also amazingly produced, but is a double disc so naturally there are a couple of joints that could be cut.

both albums are phenomenal and I will give anyone a side eye who claims Forever was a let down.

It is easily the best hip hop double album (nobody better say LAD is better, now that album had a bunch of skippable tracks, they just get overlooked because Biggie passed). The highs on Forever far out shadow the lows.

Tried to run back the Lex Diamonds album tonight...I couldn't do it :hhh:

Up until Smith Bros, it's an alright album....after that though :scust:

Ice Cream Pt. 2 is a fukking disgrace. Them Ice Water nikkas had one good joint on the Black and White soundtrack and that was it. Some sincerely generic tracks on the latter half of the album. Even the Wu cut with Deck and Masta Killa was bland. Godamn.

:francis: turning down leo for a movie

How would ownership work if it went to leo?
Wu-tang productions need to own the Wu-tang movie, el period.

Rza holding the Flag! I hope he never sell out and GBody that shyt Forever.

FOREVER HAD HIGHER CLASS LYRICS AND BEATS...EVERYTHING WAS STEPPED UP!

Rae would sell any stake he has for a bag! Always sound like he in it for the bag.

Rza cool for letting shyt on shyt this long...

Truth be told I aint heard but few Rae joint I liked without ghost or another member of the Clan

You can take almost any Deck verse from the album, and each is better than the next.

He said that & Immobilarity are classics in one of the other Vlad videos? No point in really taking stock then in his comment about Forever.

Agree. Understand the importance of 36 in hip hop, but Forever is better IMO. Same with Hell on Earth. Same with Reloaded.

Hell on Earth is not better than The Infamous. And I love both albums.

You trying to start a fist fight with that Hell on Earth statement...

I'll allow it...

can't accept any slander for this album. It was a deeper dive into the bugged out psyche of the group at the time and a lot weirder than the first album. I listen to it a lot more than 36 Chambers because there's so much more to wrap your head around. 36 Chambers was obviously more compact but I find the sprawl of Forever more captivating in the long run. It gave each member more space for us to hear them in the group context.

RZA was evolving his "digital orchestra" sound, incorporating live instrumentation and building a whole new style. I think I remember hearing about how they recorded a chunk of that album in the Wu Mansion they were all living at in Jersey and the drugs were flowing. You can practically smell the dust across that LP, starting with that epic 7 minute Popa Wu intro.

I ain't sayin' it was trash... but it definitely doesn't stand as the album it could've been and probably didn't need to be a double. There's almost half of this album that coulda been left on the floor and would not have been missed. And I felt this from the day I heard it. And everyone involved in the album says that as a whole, they were all unfocused and didn't have that together spirit they previously had, so I can see how from a personal standpoint, some of them don't view it as being that great. I always felt like there's a classic single album somewhere in there, but it also sounds like RZA literally slapped every song they completed on the album whether it needed to be on there or not.

Yeah, I tend to agree, at the time I thought the beats weren't cutting it.
They were young and hungry on 36.
Reunited was dope though

Rae is a fukking hater. A talented hater. But a hater nonetheless.

Wu-Tang Forever is incredible. If I was a member of Wu i’d be singing that album’s praises until the day Allah calls from me from this earth
Thing is Allah won't call you from this Earth only God will
