Didn’t he fukks his best friends wife?

In early 2012, it was reported that Clem had secretly filmed his wife Heather Clem and Hulk Hogan having sex in his bedroom. On October 4, 2012, Gawker released a short clip of the video. In the clip, Clem can be heard saying that the couple can "do their thing" and he will be in his office. At the end of the video, Clem can be heard telling Heather, "If we ever need to retire, here is our ticket".

Hogan filed a lawsuit against the Clems for invading his privacy on October 15, 2012. Clem settled the suit on October 29, 2012. Following the settlement, Clem publicly apologized to Hogan. Hogan sued Gawker Media for publishing the tape, and a jury of six awarded Hogan more than $140 million in March 2016. Gawker announced it would appeal as it was "disappointed" that the jury was unable to hear Clem's testimony, but ultimately settled with Hogan for $31 million in November 2016
.

:dwillhuh:

selling your wife as a scheme to blackmail your friend, only for him to sue you, win, and then be awarded $31M's in adjacent lawsuits, for nutting in your wife - might just be one of the biggest L's ever recorded in human history

this story of him fukking his friend's wife and winning $31M's in related lawsuits is so wild to me :dwillhuh:

they have a whole timeline on reddit:

  • Hulk Hogan became friends with Tampa radio host Bubba the Love Sponge.
  • Hogan would appear on BTLS radio show and also got BTLS a gig with TNA
  • BTLS got into a physical altercation with Awesome Kong [Kharma in WWE] over the Haiti earthquake. Hogan went on the radio show with BTLS and backed up BTLS.
  • Awesome Kong sued BTLS on the same day he said he quit TNA
  • BTLS went on another show and used racial terms towards Kong.
  • TNA brought BTLS back only to hear the audio of the show a month later and fire him [only in TNA...]
  • Hulk Hogan and BTLS [I'm calling him Bubba from here out] become very close. Weirdly close.
  • Hogan shows interest in Bubba's wife, Heather. A mutual arrangement is made between Bubba, his wife and Hogan that Hogan may have sex with Heather if Bubba gets to watch or record. [I personally know a couple Bubba did this to as well. Not famous people, but very attractive. Whatever floats your boat]
  • The famous sex tape is recorded one night. [circa 2006... before the TNA stuff]
  • Hogan claims to not know he was being recorded. Many feel this is not accurate.
  • Allegedly Bubba gets upset over something Hulk does and the tape is released. Some say it was the TNA incident. Bubba denies releasing the tape to Gawker.
  • The tape is released on Gawker and taken down later. The whole article can still be found here
  • Heather and Bubba divorce after tape is released online.
  • Hogan sues Bubba, they settle out of court. Not friends. Article here
  • Hogan sues Gawker for $100 million for releasing the sex tape. The F.B.I. gets involved to track down who/what/how of the release of the sex tape.
  • Hogan had a copyright claim on the tape Gawker released. [Why?] Article here
  • The F.B.I. finds the sex tapes and Gawker's defense requests the evidence.
  • F.B.I. is forced to hand over the tape to Gawker's lawyers since it is evidence entered into the suit. Article here
  • It is revealed there are 3 DVDs that were taken from Bubba's collection of Hogan. Article here
  • Rumbling start happening Thursday night of some very harmful evidence against Hogan were leaked from one of those 3 DVDs. WWE completely removes everything involving Hogan from their site, including him in the Hall of Fame page.
  • It is revealed early Friday that the National Enquirer has rights to the information found and all other outlets that have the info must wait for the NE to release it or face NDR lawsuits. They release their information before lunch on Friday. Article here
  • National Enquirer as well as other outlets hint towards a "third act" or "more to come" that could tie everything together.
  • National Enquirer releases more transcripts revealing racists remarks about Jamie Foxx and his dealings with Brooke Hogan's album. Article here
  • A running theory is that an ex employee of Bubba released the sex tape. I find this highly improbable, but here is the article here
  • Recordings from Nick and Hulk Hogan from in jail after Nicks arrest for the car crash were given another listen and Hulk can be heard making weird racial remarks. Article here
