Personally, with R.Kelly's issues, he is better off without her help. I think she would exploit him for ratings anyways. Plus with Kellz money he could afford better help than her.
Her show aint the black community. OWN network probably told her hell to the no.
The only way her show would survive an R. Kelly interview and maybe prosper from it would be if that interview were conducted in jail after he receives life.
Anything other than that and she's committing career suicide.

iyanla provides, "help" in order to garner ratings from people with daddy issues and serial infidelity. R Kelly needs waaayy more help than she's capable of providing. not to mention bringing somebody on accused of the things he's being accused of, there's no way she wouldn't face backlash.

If OWN said no its because Oprah wants that interview.But I'm pretty sure she is lying since R Kelly has never said he has a problem as it relates to this.
If she was supposed to fix some other problem of his thats another story,maybe she turned it down because his team wouldn't allow her to discuss these allegations.
But acting like she just turned him down?sounds like a lie as it doesn't seem her show gives a damn about protecting women. As she doesn't mind making them look stupid and giving bad advice.
Agreed. There's no way in hell Iyanla would ever turn down what would be the biggest guest in the history of her show. She had no problem bringing the dude on who had 34 kids and making him hold several baby dolls, lookin like a fool. They even had plans to spin off his story into it's own show.
Don’t blame her. Would’ve got ratings but would’ve brought a circus with it. Also he wouldn’t be 100 percent honest so she really couldn’t help him.

Would her show recover afterwards? The backlash before it even would air would make advertisers shook. Beyond that though, her reputation would take a major hit. For them to have him on their show would be viewed as an effort to rehabilitate his career. Ellen took flack from homos over the Hart interview. Hart wasnt under fire for touching underage minors.
