i'd just cop a used one from the pawn shop...
lets all be real. if the PS2 had decent online gameplay, we'd still be playing that **** right now.
lol nikkas can take a lowly fast food paycheck to gamestop and cop a ps2, gamecube, and nintendo 64 and still have 100+ to feast of like 15+ games.
wonder if anyones gonna do that with the ps3 and 360 when they become outdated?
hell no
rip golden age of gaming
SMH, I swear Gamestop is worst than pawnshops when it comes to their trade in value. The fast cash is good but then they turn around and mark it up an additional 20-30 bucks like wtf? I understand it's a business and business are all about profits but even a pawn shop will negotiate. I could see if the system wasn't working but if it's completely functional with all the cords and controller that should reflect in the value. Gamestop is why I generally keep my games and just let them collect dust.sold mines the day I copped the first ps3 with the backwards compatibility.
only got $39 from gamestop
This. When I bought my first flatscreen a year ago I just moved the old tv to the kitchen with the ps2 (which is a 1st gen and still running like new with the occasionally disc read error) with a stack of ps2 games. I'm glad I did I play the Silent Hills, MGS, DMCs and GTA series bug and glitch free like the way they were meant instead of these HD collections which are broken and look only slightly better.I still play mine, ime currently in my 4th season w/ the Yankees in mlb the show 2008
R.I.P. THE G.O.A.T.
Yeah my friend told me yesterday that its been discontinued.
I copped my 1st PS2 in 2001. Over the years I've bought it 2 more times. Last time I copped one was like 06 or so. I still got it at my parents house and I'ma hold on to it. Maybe in like 10 years time u can get some good money for it from a collector.
And yeah, the quality and gaming improvement from the 1st PS to PS2 was incredible.
1st game I copped for my PS2 was Onimusha and I was like damn, these graphics are amazing
