I remember Phife saying he still kept an irregular/terrible diet even though he had diabetes, dude wouldn't chill with the sweets and etc.

One of the artists that made a nikka into a nerd backpack head growing up. Saw him in the Tribe documentary and another interview and he aint look all that great.

The part with him and his wifey in the hospital after the surgery and he was looking all happy

Not sure what the status of him and Q-Tips relationship was at the end...hopefully there was peace there.

I wouldn't be a hip hop head if not for Tribe. First time I heard them was in 7th grade. Friend made me a mix with the best of People's Instinctive Travels, Low End Theory and Midnight Marauders. It was basically my introduction to golden era hip hop and I was hooked. Been a fan ever since. Biggest regret is never seeing Tribe live.
