I think its time for Big Boi to admit OutKast is done. last album was 2006 Idlewild and last real album in 2000 with Stankonia. Idlewild ain't even really an OutKast album it was a movie soundtrack and both of them was still doing their own thing ala Speakerboxx/The Love Below which also isn't really an OutKast album.

basically these cats haven't put out a proper album in damn near 12 years and Big Boi is still going on like stay tuned after Dre's solo album (which is Detox status).

its tragic that this group died but the fact that Big Boi just put out a solo album and Dre is nowhere on it to be found while he's hopping on random remixes all over the place is telling.

yea thats when the group ended, the other 2 pieces of crap had the Outkast name stamped on for marketing purposes

not even any music, on 2 tracks together since 2000. Big Boi dropped one solid album and one recent pile of dung, Andre always talkin like hes got shyt in the works then reveals hes got like 5 songs recorded

it's discusting really. I think Andre would rather not drop music because he's unsure on how it'd effect the legacy
:beli:

It's pretty clear he was getting bored with hip-hop by the time The Love Below dropped. A Life in the Day was basically his retirement speech. I'm surprised he drops as many random features as he does.

Speakerboxxx and the Love Below weren't crap but they also weren't an OutKast album.

i mean honestly id Dre that mad that Big Boi wanted to tour and he didn't that he'd end it over that? he just took a shot on Big Boi on T.I.'s album about that. Big Boi got three solo albums now. tell dude to go tour on his own and keep putting out hot music.

Dre has had all these identity crisis. first he wanted to be a singer then abandoned that then he wanted to be an actor and abandoned that now he half-assed wants to be a solo rapper and he's going around like Pre 2000 B.C. Canibus hopping on people's tracks and pushing the album back.

so if he's bored with hip hop why doesn't he drop an album tht's not a hip hop album

Well he did with The Love Below. I don't think it's about ruining his legacy as much as he just hasn't been interested in making music.

And I certainly don't think there's anything between him and Big Boi other than one still wanting to make music and the other just fukking around with random guest appearances.

I hate how nikkaz act like stankonia was hot.:rudy:

Kast last good project was almost 15 years ago

I liked Stankonia but it was their weakest album.

1st 3 albums certified classics. Stankonia, eeeeh, not so much. Still a decent album tho, had some great tracks in there that I liked. The album kinda fell off towards the last few tracks.

I think 3000 has a case of "rich and don't give a fukk," meanwhile, Big Boi has alimony and child support to pay. So Big Boi is like "Awww man lets make another album/do a tour I got bills to pay :damn:"

And Andre is like, "Nah, I'm chilling...I'm bored with rap :troll:"

I hope that he has. Until I actually hear more than him and Big Boi talk about an Andre solo/OutKast album, I'm going to look at the same way I look at all of the Detox news.
