To answer the thread question, my range of vision and hand eye coordination have improved over the yrs. I dont ball hardly ever, im worried about catching some stupid injury that puts me out of work or complicates it. 2k all day.

But when i do go to the court my passing will set u up with a lot of baskets. I will pick off a pass or 2 and have some easy breakaways. Cant shoot like i used to but ive picked up some muscle and driving to the basket is way easier than when i was a teenager. Im 6 5/ 6 6 so im built for it, i just choose not to

Completely washed physically and athletically. Spent so much time running off screens and chucking up shots from all angles. Took too many shots back in the day but some would look great when they finally go in especially when its a game winner despite shooting 3 for 16 in the game. :mjlol:because I was quite streaky. I dribble a lot better now shoot far less defend better and Naturally bball iq is a lot better too. I run alot less, lay up less and pass first.

Want to get back into, need to lose the weight first to protect the knees. Was still pretty athletic at 29, see how I go at 32 :sadcam:

I used to have a slim build, pretty quick and decent ball handler for being 6’5 , my heaviest in early twenties was around 190

I started hitting weights and got up to 230, I’ve never been out of shape, but 230 carries different on the court. I just bully nikkas now. I got a nice J, but I’m not driving to the goal anymore, I’m 41.

I just flash high/low in the post and try to get these garbage ass nikkas easy shots. I get most satisfaction out of manhandling dudes in the post. It makes my day telling a dude he’s going to leave the post before the game is over.

I still hoop but I had to alter my game, I’m just not as explosive as I used to be :flabbynsick: when it comes to blowing by guys and beating them off the dribble. In my mind I feel like I can do the same quick moves but my body like PK just chill :childplease:

I’m more like a Paul Pierce in his prime now. Still can beat guys off the dribble but it’s just all footwork and skill now. I grew up playing PG/SG so luckily I still got handles that won’t go away and my shot has improved vastly the past decade since HS so I can still do pull up J’s and hit open 3s. Also bang in the post much more (even tho I’m 6’1) I used to be one of those smaller guards bullying in the post anyway and now I got a bit of weight on me I can throw it around and beat guys inside off posting up using footwork. Realized I gotta work on a nice floater to get in the lane better and probably drop 5-10 pounds to get some more speed/explosiveness back.

Also defence. I been locking some of these young nikkas up at these courts my pride be getting in the way and I gotta show some of these youngins up. Defence all about footwork and lateral quickness and when I hooped as a youngin I was more offensive and saved a lot of my energy for that hit as I got older I really take pride in rebounding and defence. Depending on the team I’m on in pickup, sometimes I’ll do the Draymond role and run point forward bringing the ball up and playmaking and then rebounding and guarding the other team first or second option. Since I’m :flabbynsick: I like playing this role just to burn a shyt load of cardio and exhaust myself on the court.

I hate LA fitness dirty ass floors where you cant even drive.

I went to my local LA and was surprised that everyone there had a jumper, then I got on the floor and seen why smh. I model my game off Kobe and utilize that jab step to see how my defender gonna guard me can’t use that drive option at LA fitness.

Plus that court is small as fukk. Still get busy tho

24 hour fitness in general has a problem with dirty ass floors through

It sucks if you're a guy who's game is predicated a lot on being able to get past your defender
with no traction it makes it hard
