I just wrote a blog about a related subject, but what I found important is learn to appreciate TODAY. We often make our happiness contingent on achieving some sort of state, whether it is being with this or that girl or having this or that amount of money. In essence, we are blocking our ability to feel happy by making it dependent on some conditional state. This can cause a perpetual lack of happiness. IF you believe that you need to achieve this or that in order to be happy, that's exactly what you'll start to feel. On the other hand, if you learn to appreciate what you have now and to appreciate the day, you can experience happiness every day. Most of us were happiest when we were kids, and never did we think about goals, money, status, etc., until those concepts began to be introduced to us as we got older.
Phillippians 4:11
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
Now what does this have to do with women? A lot. If your happiness is contingent on being with this or that woman, your happiness is on very shaky grounds. She can leave tomorrow and you'll go back to being unhappy. Life is too short to wait for someone else to give you your happiness. As the Bible verse says, contentedness is something you have to LEARN. "In whatsoever state I am in, therewith to be content."
