The media placed Rose on that pedestal because everyone was mad that Bron left Cleveland for Miami. America needed a fresh face for the league and Rose was a perfect fit because he played hard and is humble. They were looking to crown Durant or Rose as the savior for the League.

Rose is boring and Lebron was too talented to be kept quiet so everyone could do nothing but like Lebron again. Now Rose is hurt, the media has really started turning on him...

However both rose and Iverson are similar in their MVP seasons in that they both got way too much credit for their success when it was the dominant defense that was the most important part of the teams. But you can't give team defense the MVP, so they gave it to the highest volume scorer

Rose being the youngest MVP winner did it. Also, I think its his humble personality that separates him from other pg/sg that were vilified (Marbury, Francis, Iverson). Rose is a great player who was/is getting better but I dont see how he's so different from the other 3 guards mentioned.

Marbury probably had the best court vision out of all of them.

Its really a toss up as to who was faster from end to end with ball in hand. If anyone says its Rose by a landslide needs to check some Iverson footage in his prime.

Rose is one my favorite player in the game but Idk if just my nostalgia or not but A.i Marbury, Baron and Steve Francis seemed more fun and exciting to watch and had a lil bit more swagger to their game.
