Power is distributed in different areas.
Donald Trump has an immense, incalculable amount of power, because he has control over billions of peoples lives, tangentially or otherwise.
The same for Mark Zuckerberg, who controls the largest platform in the world, and has the ability to repress or open up speech in every country on the planet, including China.
Larry Fink has control over the largest number of pure assets, as he's the founder and CEO of BlackRock, a fairly big "shadow bank." ($6.2T)
Jeff Bezos has the acquisition power to control a lot of international industry, if he's prudent and doesn't misstep.
Jim Yong Kim is also fairly powerful, but his reach is largely limited by the governments of each of the countries involved in the World Bank Group.

Depends on what you see as "power."

I think they had the opposite problem, hyper-inflation stemming from the devaluation of their currency in part because of the drop in the price in oil and the collapse of state institutions that depended on oil revenue.
OPEC has more to do with this than their Federal Reserve, and the FED's hands were tied because they didn't have the option of tightening monetary poliy or they risked a complete collapse of their government.
