The 690 isn't even the big dog anymore, the single core Nvidia Titan will be out at the end of the month, 6 GB GDDR5 of vram
this people get too caught up in the numbers
there aint shyt to play on pcs foreal to warrant spending more than 600 or so
I think that's going to change this generation with the steambox coming and both consoles basically being low end PCs.
I already looked at current gen consoles as low end pcs when they came out
it'll prolly be more efficient long term and if your motherboard goes bad or something youll be able to keep up with the times.so yal saying just cop a $150 dollar card every 24 months.
You not gonna get 7 good years out of a graphics card. You should get a midtier card now then reup in 4 years. Or you could SLI / Crossfire on a second card when we get deeper in the generation.
Just rock a single 680 and see how performance holds up to YOUR liking. When I got my PC in November I got a 550 TI and imo it's performance is acceptable. I completed Crysis 3 in 1080P, mid settings, smaa 1x with 35-45 fps.so will i be good if i just cop another 680 and have them both in there like 3 yrs from now?

Only game that skressed my card was Tomb Raider but that's when I try to use TressFX coupled with Sweetfx running(Sweetfx is the shyt man if you ain't using this while gaming on PC you lause.)
I'd say it would be on par with a 690. The thing is you're trying to keep up with bleeding edge pc specs that may or may not be worth it to you.I'm saying tho, two 680s would be equivalent to.............
???
what would i be working with|
a 690 is 2 680s.
