I can't be a PC gamer ONLY. There's always going to be exclusives and third party games that don't get made for PC. PC gaming I use for most multiplats, emulation and everything else.
Question for PC Tech Nerds: Will a GTX 680 be able to keep up with Next gen consoles?

I don't see what the problem is copping a 680 and then recopping another (whatever will be its modern day equivalent) 7 years from now. Those $150 cards are garbage at the moment

@ the fact that you spent $450 on a card and don't want to spend much more at that time to keep playing in high detail. Then take a look over at a $150 card and see it get smoked by benchmarks @ guru3d 
Take a look at the 7850 which comes with a free copy of bioshock infinite and tomb raider right now for $165 after MIR. Great card. If you pick the right card for around $150 it will run everything in high detail @ 1080P. Especially if you overclock. You are new to this rookie, you have a whole lot of learning to do. Get at @Kodie if you want anymore ideas to keep your rig relatively high end on the cheap.
@2gunsup and @Malta are beasts who drop major cash on their rigs...ask them for advice if you wish but be prepared to open up that wallet

I bought a pretty good card 7 years ago, not 700 dollar high end or anything but still it was worth nearly 300. it was obsolete in 3 years or so. I dont think I can play a single game worth a damn on it nowadays.

TES is not really my cup of tea. skyrim held me for like 10-15 hours or so if that, shyt got mad boring once the novelty of exploring wore off...and story, quest and battle system all sucked. morrowind is prolly my favorite TES game along with daggerfall and even then I wouldnt put it anywhere my favorite games...
so I prolly wont be playing that

Don't listen to these other guys they just talk fancy.
Your card will last you for 10 years breh. 10 years later you'll be able to STILL play 2k13 and BF3 on ultra high. Xbox can't do that.
Upgrade every few years or so when you feel like you need to run with the most bleeding edge settings.

I dont think the MMO is gonna be like skryim.. its way too slow paced to be a MMO
im not really feeling skyrim the game itself either, but from what I hear the mmo is gonna be based on it and more faster paced.
the only real reason im happy for it is cause other games die out so quick, and skyrim been popular for what ? 1 1/2 years now ? so if any game can hold people attention past the initial 1-2 months , it would be that one.
im just too scorned by games now bruhs
this my only hope for a game that people will play more than a few months besides dota

If you're an xbot you mine as well buy a pc. When ps3 is on the market theres really no point in buying an xbox when pc is basically what xbox should be. xbox is like pc on extra Low settings.
