I bought some...they aight, but its not candy bar status.

They need some kind of texture in them...if they added some nuts they would be better.

I bought a Choc Chip Cookie Dough one today. Only one chance to make a first impression, how should I eat this thing? Raw, microwave, oven?

I like em raw unless I'm mixing em them with something. With cereal, in greek yogurt, dipped in something, as a PB sandwich.....

:yeshrug:

Only had the cookie dough once though. Would probably be good as fukk in ice cream though :noah:

Cut it up and tried it 3 ways

Raw -- Not bad, had that same chalky texture I hate in most fake candy

Microwaved -- Better. Still not exciting

Baked -- Burned the botton bad but the top tasted really good for a diet bar, like a dry and slightly undersweetened cookie. Yes, it would go good with ice cream.

I cant see myself buying any more, too expensive for what you get. I'd rather just have a scoop of whey and a bowl of All Bran. Similar macros for half the price and dont have to bake them.

If I can find a single cookies and cream bar though I will buy it so I can try that dip sticks

I felt the same way about them when I First tried...had four different types (cant remember what they were).
But today I tried the double chocolate and ended up buying a whole box....shyt was good.

But like you said, there are other ways to get protein...it just works for me because I find myself being hungry while im driving, and end up buying some bullshyt.

I like the Clif Bars

Eh, they taste good....but unless you need the energy for high intensity workouts, they're not much better than candy bars. Tons of sugar and a poor protein source.

It's not ideal. Especially when the 20g comes from brown rice syrup.

They're OK for endurance athletes...but as a pre-workout snack or something mid day to stave off hunger, there are better options.

I'll be back with questions on some products nikka.:mjpls:

Pretty sure the 20g he was referencing was for the protein content of a Clif Builder Bar, not the sugar content

Brown Rice Syrup is the sweetener used in Clif Bars and I'm pretty sure it is low glycemic, an acceptable tradeoff for me when you consider how good they taste. I've never had a Clif Builder bar, but there are multiple regular Clif Bar's that I love and I consider them to be the only enjoyable bars I have ever tried. They are much better than candy bars, the nutritional content is far superior.

Of course, the regular Clif Bars only have 9g protein so they can't be used as a protein source. I just like them sometimes as part of a filling breakfast.

I was, but I thought he was saying the sugar content was high regardless though for 20g of protein. They do taste good though and at my local health food store I can get 4/$5. :leostare:
