I wouldnt give drake that much... his performance game isnt that tight... almost all his r&b songs he cant even perform live. The rough sounding but catchy stuff you hear on drakes tracks is drake trying his hardest, with many takes, in a studio environment, with effects and pitch correction included, mixed and tweaked... and thats after years of vocal couching...

And this is him doing one song on a TV stage... at a concert where he is actually has to perform multiple songs and move around and get the crowd involved... he is much worse than this...

He's also done the lip synching thing too.

I don't know what's up with the homie QM, because when the stuff came out about the ghostwriting and the reference tracks, I went and checked out some of his music that he had out at the time, and a lot of it was pretty decent. But ever since then, when he's dropped something, it's been borderline trash. And he has songs where he's abusing autotune :smh:

I was interested to see what he did with this promo coming his way, but dude hasn't put out something that's fire since the news came out he was Drake's writer. Maybe Drake took all this nikka's mojo and it's over for him?

He's probably so used to writing for Drake at this point that he's going to have to find his *own* style again.

his flow and cadence are wack, he has some nice lines but shows why Drake was rapping them and not him

I totally agree. Listening to Miller's music makes you wonder did he actually write for Drake in the past (?), because his music is fukking garbage in comparison to Drake's music.

You don't know the business. These guys are recyclable

not really... a song writer who can reliably craft hits is rare... but I dont think QM is that, basically hasnt been responsible for any of drakes hit singles, from what is known is responsible for drakes recent (ish) slow drawl southern style... he could definitely find someone to give him that or move on to the next style now...

QM is done as a ghostwriter because he has shown he isnt discrete enough. He hasnt written any hit singles so he doesnt have reputation to be a legit aknowledged songwriter for big names. Everything else doesnt matter.

A songwriter that can reliably craft hits is rare. True

Quentin Miller isn't that guy though, nor was he crafting anything. He's a small piece of a team that works with Drake.

As a ghostwriter . . he was credited, people have a tendency to gloss over credits though because there's so many names they aren't familiar with. Had he written a hit, even just one. We could talk about him as the potential of a songwriter that can make hits. So just providing lyrics to album tracks . . that's dime-a-dozen. He does show he doesn't have the mind state that's needed for anyone to put them on his team.

People that do Drake-style lyrics are a dime a dozen. There's a whole segment of rappers that know nothing else beyond this. It's all they can make. They do it effectively. Now why aren't they Drake? Because there's already a Drake and they are just followers

He has the lyrics and cadences

He just don't have the Mic presence, Voice and looks to be a successful rapper himself

Perfect ingredients for a ghostwriter if you ask me

maybe quentin miller is right and its not a diss, and hes referring to Epic as the ones who tried to run off with the swag. they coudla wanted to lock him in as a ghostwriter too breh. rapper speak talks in his songs and interviews about being flown out to NYC to talk with sony and they basically wanted to sign him, but only so he could write songs and provide the style wave for other folks, so he bounced. record labels be wanting to run off with swags brehs
