this always sickens me.

today, espn is throwing a parade for andrew luck's 3-yard pass that was turned into a 60-something yard touchdown by the receiver. to make it worst, they compared it to when peyton did the same exact thing on his 1st preseason pass as well. i cant even tell you who caught the pass yesterday.

at least despite all the hoop-la today, andrew luck said it was great how all he had to do was throw a 3-yard pass.

list some more examples. f*ck this chit.

They also get the blame when they throw a perfect pass that the WR fukks up and causes an INT/drop.

Who cares? Every QB has their stats count the same so they're still a useful way of comparing QBs.

I see what your saying but in some occasions it shows a QB's poise in going through all his progressions and taking the check down and not forcing anything (this was the case in RGIII's TD pass). But your right Luck just threw a screen pass.

In his defense, it looked like a broken play or a shytty screen pass, so either way it was a nice dumpoff considering he was going to get sacked

also theres no stat in baseball where you get credit and become overrated due to players being on base when you happen to get a hit

a good point guard makes the players around him better. cant say the same for a quarterback.

im far from a baseball expert, so i'll let somebody else handle that one.

chris paul would get an assist when david west caught the ball 20 feet out, dribbled 4 times, did a spin move and laid it in. shyt was absurd the assists he got credited with. also a good qb certainly makes the players around him better. saying otherwise is just being ignorant

I think it's interesting how in hockey the player that makes the pass that leads to the pass to the player that makes a goal gets an assist as well.

You're missing the point. The INT still gets put on the QB regardless of what happens. It's the way team sports work, your stats always going to be dependent on what others do.

And you must hate Brady. Last year 52% of his pass yards were YAC. Pats entire offense is based on getting WRs ball in space.
