Burmese have taken over the everglades but growth of African rock pythons is really alarming scientists because they are bigger and lay more eggs--up to 100 in a litter-- and they are mean as fukk. The Burmese are pretty docile and scared of people. The one in the video all snuggled up with that Cambodian boy was a Burmese.

But the African rock ones are mad aggressive. The lady who runs the local reptile shop told me she wouldn't recommend keeping one as a pet. That was an African rock in the story @Broke Wave posted that killed those two boys in Canada.

They also can interbreed with Burmese and that's got Florida officials worried. Articles about them.

Louisiana don't have those weak azz Gator that Florida has. Our gators are about that life. And we had Alligator Snapping Turtle. Snap a snake right in half.

So beside humans and gators, there's nothing else big enough in Flordia to keep their numbers in check?

Brah, I think you missed the point. The gators are getting bytch slapped and the humans can't find them.

A brutal winter is our only hope.

I wouldn't say gators are getting bytch slapped. There's cases of gators killing pythons. I think it's about 50/50 when they clash. But they probably avoid each other usually out of mutual respect/fear, so gators won't dent their population growth.
