4 imo, Cleveland is on it's own level. Bulls and Toronto are tough outs. The Heat are a ticking time bomb imo; bc I don't think Wade can stay healthy, Dragic has never looked comfortable and Whiteside's contract is a big potential distraction. edit: and the Hawks are just plain overrated imo

How many games do you think NY can win and how far do you think they can go in the playoffs?

Halfway point at 20-21, if I was low balling and being conservative as hell 38 but I'm pretty confident we'll at the bare minimum match this half (barring injuries) so 40-42 would be the safest play. That said, I think the team is better now than when the season started. If Phil adds another piece, I don't see why 42 to 44 wins isn't a possibility. That's a 22-19 record to close the season. As far as the playoffs, it'll be about seeding and match-ups. The Cavs should skate to the postseason. Barring breakdowns, I think the Bulls are just a really bad match-up for us. The Raptors are regular season titans without the go-to talent for a postseason, they'd be beatable but I'd prefer not to face them. Every team after that is one where I'd like our chances of making it out the first round, Hawks included. So I think 42 wins and if we can get a match-up outside those three, a second round trip is within reach. That's an optimistic approach though. The most grounded (non-knicks fan), ignore hypotheticals response is probably more like 40 or 41 wins and a first round exit.

What do y'all think Conley is worth and why?

18 million a season which would be an overpay but the league is moving in a place where that number might even be too low. The key is that Conley is a really good defensive player at a position where almost every offensive scheme in the league focuses it's attack. In a pick and roll league, having a guy who doesn't force you to switch everything is huge since he allows you to scheme in ways that most PG's don't (I like Hill too because of it). Offensively, Conley can do catch and shoot work and has become pretty adept at driving with both hands even without screens. His numbers are good, but it's the intangibles that bump him up. He's reliable, strong defensively and has a good IQ which bump his value. All that said, I'm basing this on the past few years combined, this season has been a dud and his price tag should drop if he doesn't pick up his play. He'd be a great fit, possibly the best fit for our system and personnel really imho.

Man please. Porzinigs needs ANY PLAYER that can suck defenders in. Stop it. :stopitslime:

Let me fix that for you breh. Anybody creating space works, which is why Melo has a big impact or a PG would. Sole reason why I'd have entertained the thought of signing Derozan before the Lakers said they'll max him out.

I think his best quality is his command of an offense. I don't remember who, but a few years ago someone said the best thing about Conley was that he knew how to keep his teammates happy. He knew when a certain player hadn't really gotten the ball in a while and would run a play for that player. He's probably the closest pg in the league to Chris Paul when it comes to quarterbacking an offense.

Matt Barnes is the lamest dude in the NBA right now.

That's you ex-fukking-wife.

Fisher's your boy? Okay, he shouldn't have smashed butt o try to fight him over an ex? FOH. :what:

The both of you are NBA players...and he's a "snitch"? Stop watching Belly over and over breh.

In response to the future, he says, "When I retire, we'll cross paths again." Take your fukking L and move on. Wow.

2 seasons ago, players shot only 1% below their average. Last season, they shot 1.7 above their average, and this season they're shooting 1.4% above their average. Average rebounder. Good shooter (Rondo shoots 47% for his career and 45% now). In light of this, 18 mill for him seems like a waste of cap room. I'd rather give that kind of change to Rondo for passing, defense (he's a much better defender than he looks this season, which is still better than Conley looks defensively this season), rebounding, and scoring. People say he can't shoot, but he shoots better than Conley and I think his fg% would increase even more in the Triangle because he's a penetrating pg that is a threat to finish. What is your take on this?

It's not like they have control of their 1st rounder this year anyway; might as well get some playoff experience for KP
