Well, he is the starting point guard, so he should be on top of that list by default. Number should be way higher though.

And you have to give KP credit for dropping 23 without Melo drawing attention away from him.

No, he can't lead in that category if he "doesn't pass to him". That is a lie. Those who actually pass to him most will lead that category. Jose could easily ignore him out there because he's a poor shooter right now. 2ndly, the offense is based on ball-movement, so players don't hold the ball a lot. The stats and film back that up. So, no, the number shouldn't be higher.

No, I don't give him credit for shooting the ball poorly, especially on so many shots. Just like I don't give anyone credit for shooting poorly. Moreover, Arron was out there to distract defenses. He was shooting in the 30's before Arron came back. That said, I don't blame him for shooting poorly. You can't help it if shots don't fall. I appreciate his rebounding and block. Those are effort plays.

YOOOOOO I ain't a Knick breh so I ain't in this thread often but is this what kind of fukkery goes on in here? :leon: Jose mothafukkin calderon needs 18 shots? :bryan:

I'd laugh too if I tried to argue that the guy who shot 44% (normally 42.5%) needed 18 shots but the guy who shot 80% (normally 45.4%) needed less. :yeshrug:

Jose is an incredible shooter and that's exactly why I want him gone. It should have been him taking 18 shots, not KP because right now, KP can only score when he's open or has a mismatch. Y'all might like it, but less than 45% on 18 shots is a terrible waste of possessions. Arron wasn't any better but he's a proven shooter, KP is not. Jose shot 80% from the field and he can do that on any given night, yet he refuses to shoot. I don't buy that he can't shoot well if he takes a lot of shots nightly. No, he just doesn't want to shoot. People shouldn't have to be told to shoot. Rondo won't shoot 80%, but he will shoot 46% and he will shoot when you need scoring. Offense lost this game and I'm so sick of watching Jose take 5 shots when NY can't score. That's real.

I'd reply with a smiley too if I couldn't refute an argument and was salty because I'm in blindly in love with certain players. :yeshrug:
le sigh

i know i should ignore you but

i hope someway along the line they explained how stats work

shooting 80% on 5 shots does not extrapolate to mean you will shoot 80% on 18 shots .........

you are pro melo and so anti kp since it diminishes melos role on the team

but here is the thing melo as the number 1 option will never win a championship

kp is the foundation we can build our house on ......so whether or not it actually pans out his ceiling is actually higher than what melo actually turned out to be

again melo is top tier player but he is def not championship calibre

These last two games have been pretty devastating, but one positive we can take from this is that it's pretty clear once Fisher gets the 'deavors Knicks will be getting +15 wins a season.

Still the biggest issue with the triangle offense is the fact that you need coaches who understand the triangle and that's a very shallow and untalented pool. Derek Fisher:huhldup: Brian Shaw :scusthov:Kurt Rambis:scust:

Although Luke Walton :leon: would be a great candidate if Steve Kerr ever gets cured of polio.

You just lost ALL credibility with that statement. Second statement is a straight bold face lie. Calderon should be some other team's backup or 3rd string point guard at this stage of his career. Knicks haven't had a capable point guard since Billups :stopitslime:

Derrick Williams got robbed by white girls :dead:

CW-A9DxU0AA826J.jpg

Police have released footage of two women suspected of stealing over $600,000 worth of jewelry and personal valuables from a Knicks player's home last weekend.

Police said the women met the 24-year-old victim, whom sources identify as Knicks forward Derrick Williams, at Club Up and Down at on 14th Street in the West Village.

The women went home with Williams to his Tribeca apartment after 5 a.m. Saturday and stayed for about an hour and a half before leaving, according to police.

Later that day, Williams noticed jewelry was missing.

The video released by police shows the women inside the club just before leaving.

The New York Post reports Williams had been celebrating his team's 107-97 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers with a group of friends before they all headed back to Williams' apartment with the women. They got into a Louis Vuitton case containing the jewelry inside one of the closets, then took off, the paper reported, citing law enforcement sources.

NBC 4 was unable to reach Williams' agent for comment Wednesday night, and the player has not tweeted about the issue, though the Post reports he said "I don't want to talk about it" after a game at Madison Square Garden Saturday night.

People walking outside the club Wednesday night, while not condoning the robbery or the women's actions, weren't very sympathetic.

"It happens to the best of us, whether you're a professional or a regular guy like myself, but you just have to be more aware. And when you add alcohol, what can you say?" said Damian Davis of Wakefield.

"Hopefully he had everything insured. If not, eh, you win, you lose," he added.

"Maybe the lesson learned here is, don't bring people home that you don't know that well," said Maayan Oppenheim of Williamsburg.

Helit Nava said, "It's stupidity, actually."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
